Ways to work with GeekMidst

Four ways to engage GeekMidst on Salesforce work, when each one makes sense, and how we approach estimates and pricing without guesswork.

The right way to buy Salesforce help depends on how well the work is understood, how long it will run and who will own it afterwards. A clearly defined Marketing Cloud journey is a different purchase from a year-long move to a unified data model, and both differ from needing an experienced AMPscript developer for a few weeks.

We offer four models. They can be combined, and work often moves between them: a fixed-scope discovery, then a phased programme, then ongoing support.

How we approach pricing

We do not publish rates, because a number without context is rarely useful. Instead, we explain how an estimate is built so you can challenge it.

  • Fixed-scope work is estimated from a written scope: the deliverables, the assumptions behind them and what is explicitly excluded. If the assumptions change, we revisit the estimate with you before continuing.
  • Phased programmes are usually estimated in detail for the next phase and in broader ranges for later ones. Each phase review is a chance to re-plan with better information.
  • Specialist augmentation is based on the skills, seniority and time commitment you need.
  • Ongoing support is shaped around expected volume, the platforms covered and how quickly different kinds of request need attention, all agreed with you in writing.

Whatever the model, you should see what you are paying for. That means written assumptions, visible progress and a clear change process. If something in an estimate is uncertain, we say which part and why.

Discovery as a separate step

When requirements are unclear, we often suggest a short, fixed-scope discovery first. It produces a scope, a design outline and a better-grounded estimate for the main work. You are free to take that output and deliver it another way. Our guide on how to scope a Salesforce marketing implementation explains what a good scope contains.

Getting started

  1. 01

    Initial conversation

You describe the goal, the platforms involved and any constraints such as deadlines, internal capacity or contract renewals.

  2. 02

    Model recommendation

We suggest a model, or a combination, and explain why. If an in-house approach would suit you better, we will say so.

  3. 03

    Written proposal

Scope or role description, assumptions, exclusions, deliverables, governance and the estimate basis, all in one document.

  4. 04

    Agreement and onboarding

Contracts, NDAs where requested, access set-up following our security practices, and a kickoff with named contacts on both sides.

Questions we hear

Can we switch models mid-engagement?
Yes. A common pattern is a fixed-scope build followed by ongoing support. We agree the transition and any handover in writing.
Do specialists in augmentation follow our processes?
Yes. They work to your standards, tools and release process. We will point out risks we see, but your team sets the direction.
What is excluded from ongoing support?
That is agreed per arrangement. Larger new features usually become a separate fixed-scope piece of work so they get proper design and testing.
Do you need a long-term commitment?
No. Commitments are matched to the work. A discovery or audit can stand on its own.
Is there more detail on these models?
Our engagement models FAQ covers contracts, governance and handover in more depth.
