Salesforce consulting with a clear plan

Practical Salesforce consulting for teams who need a clear plan, honest advice on their org and help turning priorities into working CRM, marketing and data solutions.

Most organisations that call a Salesforce consultant already own the platform. The licences are paid for, a first implementation happened some time ago, and now the questions are harder: why does the sales team still keep spreadsheets, why does marketing not trust the data, and which of the dozen open requests should be built first?

GeekMidst offers Salesforce consulting for teams in that position. We work across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud Engagement, Account Engagement (formerly Pardot), Data Cloud (now branded Data 360) and the wider platform, with a bias towards getting customer data and customer messaging right. Our tagline, Right Message. Right Audience. Right Moment., is a reminder that the platform only earns its keep when it helps you reach the right person with something useful.

Overview of Salesforce consulting: org assessment, prioritised roadmap, architecture and design, customer data quality, automation clean-up and marketing alignment
At a glance. Salesforce consulting: A clear plan for the org you already own

Who this is for

  • Marketing and CRM leaders who need an independent view of what the platform can and cannot do for them.
  • Platform owners and admins carrying a backlog that has outgrown one person.
  • Architects and IT teams who want a second opinion before a significant design decision.
  • Operations teams whose processes span sales, service and marketing, and break at the hand-offs.

Problems we are usually asked to solve

  • Low adoption because the org reflects how the business worked several years ago.
  • Duplicate or inconsistent customer data across CRM, marketing and other systems.
  • Automation built up over time in Workflow Rules, Process Builder, Flow and Apex, with nobody sure what fires when.
  • Marketing tools connected to CRM in ways that cause sync errors or consent gaps.
  • A roadmap that is a list of requests rather than a sequence tied to business outcomes.

Where consulting usually leads

How a consulting engagement runs

  1. 01

    Initial conversation

We discuss what prompted the call, who is involved and what a good outcome looks like. No preparation is needed beyond a rough description of the situation.

  2. 02

    Discovery

Stakeholder interviews, a read-only look at the org where access is granted, and a review of existing documentation, integrations and reports.

  3. 03

    Findings and options

We set out what we found, the options available and the trade-offs of each, including the option of doing less.

  4. 04

    Recommendation and roadmap

A prioritised sequence of work, with dependencies, rough effort ranges and the decisions you need to make.

  5. 05

    Delivery or hand-over

We can deliver the roadmap with you, support your internal team, or hand it over cleanly for another party to build.

What you receive

The exact outputs depend on the scope, but a typical consulting engagement produces:

  • A current-state summary covering objects, automation, integrations, users and known pain points, in plain language.
  • A findings log with each issue, its impact, a suggested fix and a rough effort estimate.
  • Solution options for the main decisions, with the reasons for our recommendation.
  • A roadmap grouped into phases, so the first phase can start without waiting for the whole plan to be approved.
  • Working sessions with your team so the reasoning lives with you, not only in a document.

What we need from you

Consulting works when the right people are available. We will ask for a named sponsor who can make decisions, time with the people who use the system every day, and access to a sandbox or read-only production access agreed with your admin. If there are contracts, data agreements or internal policies that affect what can be changed, we need to see those early. Our approach page explains how decisions and quality gates work.

Questions we hear

Do you only work on new Salesforce projects?
No. We also work on established orgs that need review, clean-up or a new direction. We are comfortable inheriting work done by others.
Can you work alongside our existing partner or internal team?
Yes. We can provide an independent review, take on a specific workstream, or support your internal admins and developers without replacing anyone.
Which Salesforce products do you cover?
Our focus is CRM, Marketing Cloud Engagement, Marketing Cloud Next, Account Engagement, Data Cloud and the core platform, including Flow, Apex and Lightning Web Components.
How do you price consulting?
It depends on the shape of the work. Discovery is usually scoped as a fixed piece, and later work follows one of our engagement models, from fixed-scope projects to ongoing support.
Do you need production access?
Not always. Many reviews can start from a sandbox, metadata and screenshots. Where production access helps, we ask for the least access needed and agree it with your admin.
