Salesforce Product Names in 2026
Salesforce renamed many products in October 2025 and reversed some of those names in 2026. Here is the current map and what it means for you.

If your team is unsure whether to say Sales Cloud or Agentforce Sales, Data Cloud or Data 360, you are not alone. Salesforce renamed much of its lineup at Dreamforce 2025, then quietly returned to several of the older names during 2026. This article sets out the names Salesforce uses on its own product pages as of October 2026, the names they replaced, and what the changes mean for contracts, internal documentation and search.

What happened, in brief
- October 2025. Salesforce's 13 October 2025 press release introduced "Agentforce 360" and renamed the apps Agentforce Sales, Agentforce Service, Agentforce Marketing, Agentforce Commerce, Agentforce Field Service, Agentforce Revenue Management, Agentforce IT Service, Agentforce HR Service and Agentforce 360 for Industries. Data Cloud became Data 360.
- September 2026. The Information reported on 14 September 2026 that Salesforce had dropped "Agentforce" from some product names on its website, and The Next Web confirmed this from the live pages. Salesforce made no statement. Salesforce.com supports this today: its product pages again lead with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and so on.
- Names that stayed. Agentforce remains the name of the AI agent platform, and Data 360 remains the data platform's name. Its page title reads "Data 360 (Formerly Data Cloud)".
The rename map
Current official names and former names (October 2026)
| Current name (salesforce.com) | Former or alternative names | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Sales Cloud | Agentforce Sales (Oct 2025 to about Sept 2026) | Agentforce Sales may still appear as a capability label or URL slug |
| Service Cloud | Agentforce Service | IT & HR Service Cloud was Agentforce IT Service / HR Service |
| Field Service and Operations | Field Service Lightning; Agentforce Field Service | Trailhead still says Field Service Cloud; pricing uses Agentforce 1 Field Service |
| Marketing Cloud | Agentforce Marketing | The older name now appears only in URL slugs |
| Marketing Cloud Account Engagement | Pardot | Account Engagement+ unlocks Marketing Cloud Next AI |
| Commerce Cloud | Agentforce Commerce | Winter '27 newsroom copy still uses the Agentforce name |
| Revenue Cloud | Revenue Lifecycle Management; Revenue Cloud Advanced; Agentforce Revenue Management | Salesforce CPQ is end of sale |
| Data 360 | Data Cloud | Salesforce's FAQ calls Data 360 the official new name |
| Agentforce | Einstein Copilot (assistant) | The agent platform name is unchanged |
| Salesforce Platform | Agentforce 360 Platform; Headless 360 Platform | Trailhead Winter '27 still tags Headless 360 Platform |
| Sales Programs | Sales Enablement (earlier marketing) | No formal "formerly" name given |
| Experience Cloud | Community Cloud | Portals appear to be marketed under Service Cloud self-service |
| MuleSoft | Agentforce MuleSoft (salesforce.com page title) | mulesoft.com uses MuleSoft |
Industry clouds follow the same pattern. The industry pages use the "... Cloud" names, for example Financial Services Cloud, Health Cloud and Manufacturing Cloud, even where "Agentforce for ..." still appears in URLs or FAQs.
New umbrella names in 2026
- Headless 360: Salesforce's initiative to expose the platform to AI agents through MCP servers, APIs and the CLI. It was expanded on 19 August 2026.
- AIforce: announced at Dreamforce on 15 September 2026 as "Salesforce on any surface". Third-party outlets later reported a CEO post saying it would become "SIforce". Salesforce had made no official announcement, and salesforce.com still said AIforce on 21 October 2026.
- Salesforce Guardian: the umbrella for security, privacy and resilience add-ons. It is not a rename of Shield, which keeps its name.
- Agentforce 360: still used in some official pages and press. Salesforce has not said whether it remains the overall umbrella brand.
What this means for contracts
A change on a website does not by itself change what you have licensed. Order forms and contracts signed between October 2025 and now may use the Agentforce-prefixed names, and pricing still uses names such as "Agentforce 1" editions. If a renewal or new quote uses names that differ from your existing contract, ask your account executive to confirm in writing that the products and entitlements are the same. Salesforce states that pricing and packaging are subject to change, so check the current pricing page rather than older material.
What this means for documentation
- Use the current page names in new material, and mention the former name once where readers might know it, for example "Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud)".
- Keep a glossary page in your internal wiki that maps old names to new ones. Our Salesforce marketing glossary is a starting point.
- Don't rewrite every old document at once. Update pages when you next edit them, and add the mapping table where it helps.
- Note that Help and developer docs change more slowly than marketing pages. "Einstein Trust Layer", for example, is still the documentation name, although some newsroom copy says "Agentforce Trust Layer".
What this means for search
People search using the names they know. Admins still type "Pardot", "Data Cloud" and "Field Service Lightning". Salesforce's own pages often combine names for this reason. Internally, tag knowledge articles and Slack channels with both names. On public sites, use the current name in headings and mention the former name in the text.
