Winter '27 builds on two earlier 2026 releases. If you skipped a release cycle, or joined a Salesforce team mid-year, this recap covers the headline items from Spring '26 and Summer '26 and the important changes between them. Salesforce's newsroom summaries for these releases did not label each feature's status, so we say where something is GA only when a source says so. Check Salesforce Help for each feature's licensing and status before you rely on it.

What did not ship as planned. Salesforce noted that Agentic Setup and Data Management for Data 360 was slated for GA in Summer '26, and that Agentic Enterprise Search "did not GA in Spring '26". If your roadmap assumed either in the spring, check its current status.

Summer '26

Summer '26 was generally available from 15 June 2026, according to Salesforce's newsroom article of 11 May 2026. That article gave no per-feature status. Headline items:

Multi-Agent Orchestration is listed as GA in the Winter '27 and Dreamforce material. Field Service's Scheduling Console also arrived in Summer '26 and was enhanced in Winter '27.

Between the releases

Several important changes happened outside the release cycle:

  • April 2026, TDX: Salesforce unveiled Headless 360, its initiative to expose the platform to AI agents through MCP servers, APIs and the CLI. The exact date comes from third-party reports.
  • Week of 13 July 2026: new agents can only be created in the new Agentforce Builder, inside the Agentforce Studio app. Legacy agents keep running and stay editable.
  • 19 August 2026: Salesforce expanded Headless 360. The Data 360 MCP Server, Salesforce Multi-Framework, the Agent Skills repository, Headless Commerce and the Slackbot MCP server became GA, while the Headless 360 MCP Server and Headless Experience Layer entered open beta.
  • 26 August 2026: Salesforce and Anthropic announced Claudeforce, which is Beta.

Why this matters for Winter '27

Much of Winter '27 extends these items. Multi-Agent Orchestration gains Third-Party Agent Orchestration. Momentum and Sales Workspace sit alongside Pipeline Forecasting. The Scheduling Console gets enhancements, and Security Mesh gets new connectors. If you never switched on the Spring and Summer features, assess them first: the Winter '27 additions often assume the earlier foundations are in place.
