Salesforce Administration Services

Ongoing Salesforce admin capacity for user management, reports, small changes and release readiness, without hiring a full-time admin.

Every Salesforce org needs steady administration: new users, permission changes, report requests, small fixes and three Salesforce releases a year. When that work has no owner, it piles up. GeekMidst provides ongoing Salesforce administration remotely from India, as planned capacity each month.

This differs from our other ongoing services. Managed support covers incidents and service levels, and an org health check is a one-off review. Administration is the day-to-day work in between.

How we work

  1. 01

    Discovery

We review your org, backlog, users and the people who request changes.

  2. 02

    Design

We agree monthly capacity, a single request route and what needs your approval.

  3. 03

    Build

We make changes in a sandbox first, apart from simple user changes.

  4. 04

    Test

Requesters check each change before it goes to production.

  5. 05

    Launch

We deploy on an agreed schedule and log every change.

  6. 06

    Support

We report monthly on work done, open items and upcoming Salesforce changes.

Release readiness in practice

Take Winter '27. Sandbox preview began on 28 August 2026, and production upgrades ran on 4 September, 2 October and 9 October 2026 depending on instance, so check trust.salesforce.com for yours. Items an admin would review include:

  • User Field History Tracking: up to 20 User fields, with data kept 18 months (GA).
  • Flexible inline editing in list views, off by default (status not stated).
  • Record previews from Lightning reports (Beta).
  • Profile Filtering, a release update enforced in Winter '27: users without "View All Profiles" see only their own profile name.

Upcoming dates need a plan too, such as the Maintain Email Verification Exception release update enforced on 1 December 2026 and the View Setup Audit Trail permission enforced in Spring '27. See Winter '27 for admins and developers and the release readiness checklist.

Prerequisites and licences

We need a named contact on your side, suitable admin access for our team under your security policies, and at least one sandbox. Some features depend on your edition or add-ons, and we flag these before starting.

Who it suits

Organisations with a part-time or departing admin, growing teams with a backlog, and in-house admins who need cover or extra hands.

Common mistakes

  • Making changes directly in production.
  • Granting broad profiles instead of permission sets.
  • No record of who changed what, and why.
  • Ignoring release updates until they are enforced.
  • Letting report and dashboard folders grow until nobody trusts the numbers.

Larger automation goes to Flow automation services, and access reviews to security and governance.

Questions we hear

How is administration different from managed support?
Administration is planned work such as users, reports and small changes. Managed support focuses on incidents and service levels. Some organisations use both.
How do we send requests?
We agree a single route at the start, such as a shared queue or a form, so nothing gets lost.
Do you work in our time zone?
We work remotely from India and agree overlap hours for requests and urgent user issues.
What if a request turns out to be a project?
We tell you, estimate it separately and suggest the right service.
Can you train our users?
Yes. We can run short sessions on new features, reports or changed processes, usually timed around a release.
