Salesforce Consulting in the UAE
We work with UAE organisations remotely from India, with about 7.5 hours of shared working time and a clear view of which data regime applies.

India is only 90 minutes ahead of the UAE, so almost your whole working day overlaps with ours. GeekMidst works with organisations across the UAE, Dubai included, remotely from India. We have no office in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or anywhere else in the country, and no local team or phone number. We work in English, not Arabic, and prices are agreed per proposal.
Our first question for a UAE team isn't about Salesforce: which data protection regime are you under? The answer changes consent design, breach handling and transfer paperwork.
Working across time zones
Gulf Standard Time is UTC+4 with no daylight saving, so this table holds all year.
A near full-day overlap
| Your time (GST) | India time (IST) | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| 9:00 a.m. | 10:30 a.m. | Morning stand-ups |
| 11:00 a.m. | 12:30 p.m. | Discovery and design workshops |
| 2:00 p.m. | 3:30 p.m. | Build reviews and user training |
| 4:30 p.m. | 6:00 p.m. | End of the shared day, about 7.5 hours; release checks |
Data and privacy rules to plan for
The UAE has a federal law plus separate regimes in two financial free zones.
Three regimes to tell apart
| Regime | Who it covers | Key points |
|---|---|---|
| Federal PDPL (Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) | Most organisations outside DIFC and ADGM | In force since 2 January 2022; Executive Regulations not yet issued, per our sources |
| DIFC Data Protection Law (DIFC Law No. 5 of 2020) | Organisations in DIFC | Own regulator, the Commissioner of Data Protection; breaches reported as soon as practicable |
| ADGM Data Protection Regulations 2021 | Organisations in ADGM | Own Commissioner of Data Protection; breach notice within 72 hours |
Under the federal PDPL, consent is the main legal basis and must be clear, specific and unambiguous, and people can object to direct marketing. Cabinet Decision No. 56/2024 requires consent before marketing messages via social media, and separate consumer rules let people opt out of phone, email and social-media marketing. Transfers are allowed to adequate jurisdictions or under exceptions such as contracts or explicit consent. Breaches go to the UAE Data Office "immediately upon becoming aware", with timing to be set by the Regulations. Health and banking or credit data sit outside the PDPL under their own rules.
Two cautions. First, secondary sources say the Executive Regulations were still unpublished in September 2026, and DLA Piper's last update said the Data Office wasn't yet established; we couldn't confirm either point on an official UAE site, so we don't link a regulator page here. Organisations get six months to comply once the Regulations appear. Second, our DIFC and ADGM summaries come from 2020 and 2021 sources, so check the current texts with your legal adviser.
In Salesforce terms, we tag records by legal entity and regime, and capture consent per channel, social media included.
Salesforce data residency: Hyperforce UAE
The UAE is a Hyperforce hosting location in Salesforce's Infrastructure and Sub-processors document. Salesforce said Hyperforce would reach UAE customers in December 2023, and Dubai Media Office later reported it generally available in the UAE with AWS. Hosting can differ by product, so get written confirmation for each service you license.
Services teams in the UAE ask us about
- Salesforce CRM consulting for sales teams working across several entities
- Service Cloud implementation for customer service and case handling
- Integration with ERP and booking systems
- Marketing Cloud consulting with per-channel consent
- Agentforce and AI automation
Industries
Our research centres on Dubai. Companies in its free zones, such as JAFZA, DMCC, DIFC and Dubai Internet City, can be fully foreign-owned, and DIFC is a financial centre with its own legal framework. Dubai International was the world's busiest airport for international passengers in 2025, according to ACI figures reported by Gulf News. See our financial services, travel and hospitality and logistics pages.
