Working across time zones
The table uses Eastern Time. US daylight saving ends on November 1, 2026 and starts again on the second Sunday of March, so the gap to India is 9 hours 30 minutes in summer and 10 hours 30 minutes in winter. Further west, the gap is wider; we'll agree a schedule in discovery.

Data and privacy rules to plan for
There's no federal general privacy law in the United States. You plan around state laws, plus federal rules for email and texting. This is where things stood in October 2026.

Many US teams treat the CCPA as their reference model for every state. Be wary of web articles saying Georgia's first privacy law took effect on July 1, 2026: the signed text of SB 111 is about rural-hospital tax credits. On the TCPA, the FCC's stricter one-to-one consent rule was vacated by the Eleventh Circuit in January 2025.
The regulators to know are the California Privacy Protection Agency for the CCPA, the Federal Trade Commission for CAN-SPAM, and the FCC for the TCPA. This isn't legal advice; check with your legal adviser, especially before changing SMS consent capture.
Salesforce data residency
The United States is a Hyperforce hosting location, according to Salesforce's Infrastructure and Sub-processors document. At Dreamforce 2026 Salesforce also announced Hyperforce on Google Cloud for North America, with general availability planned for November 2026. Confirm availability for your products with Salesforce.
