Salesforce Consulting in Taiwan
We work with teams in Taiwan remotely from India, in English. Taiwan's data law and regulator are changing, so we design orgs that can adapt.

GeekMidst works with teams in Taiwan remotely from India. We have no office, staff or phone number in Taiwan. Our working language is English, and we don't offer Mandarin-language delivery, so this suits teams that already work in English. If your users need training in Mandarin, plan for a bilingual colleague on your side to lead it. Pricing is set per proposal.
Two things make Taiwan different from most countries we cover: its data protection regulator is in transition, and Salesforce lists no Hyperforce location there.
Working across time zones
Taipei is UTC+8, two and a half hours ahead of India, with no daylight saving.

Data and privacy rules: a law in transition
Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) has been amended twice in recent years.
- 2023: the Legislative Yuan raised fines for security failures and named a Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) as the competent authority. A PDPC Preparatory Office was set up on 5 December 2023.
- 2025: an amendment passed on 17 October 2025 and was promulgated on 11 November 2025. It makes the PDPC an independent supervisory authority, and private-sector organisations may stay under their sector regulators for up to six years after the PDPC is established. The Executive Yuan sets the effective date.
We couldn't confirm whether that effective date has been set, or whether the PDPC is formally established, as of October 2026. For now, the regulator for most businesses is their sector regulator, moving to the PDPC.
What to design for
| Topic | What the sources say | What it means in Salesforce |
|---|---|---|
| Marketing refusals | Stop using the data for marketing immediately | Opt-outs sync close to real time, not in a nightly batch |
| Breaches | Tell affected people promptly; the 2025 amendment adds PDPC reporting for incidents meeting criteria it will set | A breach playbook with named owners and contact lists you can export |
| Cross-border transfers | Generally allowed, but the authority can restrict them | Know where your org is hosted and who accesses it from abroad |
Sources also disagree about which provisions carry which fines, so we haven't quoted amounts. Check with your legal adviser, and expect guidance to change once the PDPC is running. Our consent requirements worksheet is a practical way to list what you hold today and why.
Salesforce data residency
Taiwan doesn't appear as a Hyperforce hosting location in Salesforce's Infrastructure and Sub-processors document, so expect a Taiwan org to be hosted in another country. Check Salesforce's current region list in Salesforce Help and agree the location with your Salesforce account team. Whatever the region, not every service is hosted in every location.
Services teams in Taiwan ask us about
- Salesforce implementation built to absorb regulatory change
- Integration with ERP and manufacturing systems
- Org health checks before a larger change
- Security and governance
- Salesforce administration
Industries
We don't profile Taiwan's sectors here, as we haven't researched them. The industries hub has our sector pages.
How a remote engagement works
- 01
Discovery call
Late morning your time. We note which sector regulator applies to you today.
- 02
Proposal
One document with scope, open regulatory questions and the agreed price.
- 03
Design
Workshops in the shared hours, in English.
- 04
Build
Consent and opt-out handling kept configurable, so later rule changes are easier.
- 05
Test and launch
UAT, a release plan and a rollback plan.
- 06
Support
We can stay on to adjust the org as the PDPC issues guidance.
Questions we hear
Do you have an office in Taiwan?
When does the 2025 amendment take effect?
Will our org need rebuilding when the PDPC takes over?
