Braze Implementation

Braze implementation covering SDK integration, data and identity, subscription groups, channel setup, Canvas builds, Currents exports, testing and handover.

Banner for the GeekMidst service “Braze Implementation”, covering What's included and Implementation scope

A Braze implementation turns a contract into working journeys: apps and websites sending data through the SDKs, profiles keyed on the right identifier, consent set up per channel, and Canvases that have been tested before real customers see them. GeekMidst offers Braze implementation as an independent consultancy working remotely from India. We plan with you, build in your environments under your accounts, and hand over everything we build.

How we work

  1. 01

    Discovery

Confirm use cases, channels, data sources, identifiers and consent rules.

  2. 02

    Design

Agree the data dictionary, subscription groups and Canvas designs in writing.

  3. 03

    Build

Configure Braze and the data feeds in a test workspace, with your developers adding SDK code.

  4. 04

    Test

Seed test users, check every Canvas branch, opt-out paths, personalisation fallbacks and data volumes.

  5. 05

    Launch

Go live with one journey and a limited audience, then widen.

  6. 06

    Support

Hypercare after launch, then optional ongoing help.

Prerequisites and licences

  • A Braze contract that includes the channels and features you plan to use. Currents, Catalogs Pro and some BrazeAI features depend on your package or credits.
  • Developer time for SDK work in your apps, and a release slot in your app store cycle.
  • Access to the data sources you want to feed Braze, such as a warehouse supported by CDI (Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, BigQuery or Microsoft Fabric) or cloud storage.
  • Sending domains and numbers for email and SMS, set up with your providers and IT team.

Braze documents a burst limit of 3,000 requests per three seconds on /users/track for customers with data points in their pricing; other limits are set by contract. We design feeds around the limits in your contract.

Who it suits

  • Teams launching Braze for the first time.
  • Teams moving from another engagement platform who want a clean data model rather than a copy of the old one.
  • Teams rebuilding a workspace that grew without standards.
  • Salesforce customers adding Braze for app engagement; see Salesforce and Braze integration.

Common mistakes

  • Calling changeUser too early, which merges or fixes identities you cannot undo.
  • No data dictionary, so event names drift between iOS, Android and web.
  • Skipping subscription groups for channels where Braze requires them.
  • Testing only the happy path. Opt-outs, missing attributes and slow Connected Content calls need tests too.
  • Using the API for bulk loads that CDI would handle more simply.

Questions we hear

Do you write the SDK code in our apps?
Usually your developers do, with us specifying events, attributes and identity calls and reviewing the result.
Can you migrate journeys from another platform?
We can redesign them in Braze. Braze uses Liquid, so templates from other platforms need rewriting rather than copying.
How do you test before launch?
With seeded test users in a test workspace, covering every branch, opt-out paths and personalisation fallbacks.
Do you have Braze case studies?
No. We publish no Braze case studies or results; our illustrative reference build shows how we would scope and test the work.
