Salesforce and Braze Integration Services

What our Salesforce and Braze integration service includes, how an engagement runs from discovery to support, and what you need in place first.

Banner for the GeekMidst service “Salesforce and Braze Integration Services”, covering What's included and Service scope

GeekMidst offers Salesforce and Braze integration as a service: we design which system owns what, build the connection, and hand it over with monitoring and runbooks. We are an independent consultancy working remotely from India, and we do not speak for either vendor. This page covers what the service includes and how an engagement runs. For the architecture itself, read the Salesforce and Braze integration solution page.

Neither vendor documents a native connector, so every integration is a design decision. Braze documents a community-submitted webhook pattern for Salesforce Leads, and third parties sell connectors. We help you choose between those, middleware and a warehouse-centred approach.

How an engagement runs

  1. 01

    Discovery

Workshops on use cases, volumes and consent, plus a read-only look at both platforms.

  2. 02

    Design

Signed-off ownership matrix, mapping, schemas and the chosen pattern.

  3. 03

    Build

Integration flows in sandbox and a Braze test workspace, with secrets held server-side.

  4. 04

    Test

Identity, consent, volume and failure tests, including Braze rate-limit responses.

  5. 05

    Launch

Phased rollout with a small audience and a rollback plan.

  6. 06

    Support

Hypercare, then handover or ongoing managed support.

Integration options we compare

OptionStrengthsWatch for
Braze webhook to Salesforce LeadDocumented by Braze; no middlewareCommunity-submitted, not directly supported by Braze; one-way; Lead only
Third-party connectorFaster startNot documented by Braze; check data handling, support and exit terms
Middleware or iPaaSFull control of mapping, retries and auditBuild and run effort
Warehouse-centredGood for bulk data; uses Braze CDIScheduled, not instant; CDI runs as often as every 5 minutes

Prerequisites and licences

  • Salesforce API access for an integration user, in an edition that includes the APIs you need. Change Data Capture and Platform Events must suit your volumes; check your org's limits.
  • A Braze REST API key per integration with only the permissions it needs, such as users.track. Braze does not let you edit key permissions later.
  • A middleware licence or hosting, if you choose that pattern.
  • Your legal adviser's view on consent and data transfer between the systems.

Who it suits

Companies that use Salesforce for sales or service and Braze for engagement, especially B2C and app-led businesses. It also suits teams with a fragile point-to-point script that nobody owns.

Common mistakes

  • Syncing every CRM field "just in case", which burns rate limits and exposes data Braze does not need.
  • Letting both systems create profiles independently, which causes duplicates.
  • Ignoring unsubscribe sync until the first complaint.
  • No replay plan when a consumer is down for longer than the change event retention window, which is 72 hours for high-volume events.
  • Assuming the announced acquisition will soon bring a native connector. Nothing like that has been announced.

Questions we hear

How long does an integration take?
It depends on use cases, volumes and the pattern chosen. We give an estimate after discovery, not before.
Can you use our existing middleware?
Yes. We design around the platform you run, as long as it can call REST APIs and handle retries.
Do you store our credentials?
No. Secrets stay in your middleware or vault; we never ask you to send passwords or tokens.
