Commerce Cloud Consulting
We help you plan and build on Commerce Cloud, from choosing between B2C and B2B Commerce to order routing, inventory and back-office integration.

Commerce Cloud is the name on Salesforce's products page for its commerce family, although "Agentforce Commerce" from the October 2025 rebrand still appears in Winter '27 newsroom copy. It has three main products: B2C Commerce, B2B Commerce and Order Management. GeekMidst works remotely from India to help you choose the right mix, design storefront and order flows, and connect them to the rest of your Salesforce org.
The three products
B2C Commerce is for consumer storefronts. Salesforce lists Storefront Next (Summer '26), Composable Storefront, Salesforce Payments and Business Manager. See our B2C Commerce overview.
B2B Commerce is for business buyers, with headless commerce APIs, D2C support and multi-cart collaboration (Winter '27). See B2B Commerce.
Order Management handles orders after checkout. Salesforce lists Agentic Order Routing (Spring '26), Order on Behalf Of, a store associate app and inventory visibility. See Order Management.
Recent additions to plan for
- Agentic Commerce Search, standard for Shopper Agent customers (Winter '27).
- Unified omnichannel inventory (Winter '27).
- Checkout in Google Search and Gemini, announced at Dreamforce 2026, with the Universal Commerce Protocol integration announced for October 2026.
- Carter, the shopper agent, listed as GA among Salesforce's job-ready agents.
Salesforce gives no status label for most Winter '27 commerce items, so we check availability for your org before designing around them.

How we work
- 01
Discovery
We map your buyers, channels, catalog and order flows, and list the systems commerce must talk to.
- 02
Design
We choose products and storefront approach, then design catalog, pricing and order processes.
- 03
Build
We configure the storefront, checkout and order management, and build integrations.
- 04
Test
We test journeys, prices, promotions, payments and order exceptions with your team.
- 05
Launch
We plan go-live away from trading peaks and watch orders closely after launch.
- 06
Support
We help with tuning, new catalogs and Salesforce release changes.
Prerequisites and licences
B2C Commerce, B2B Commerce and Order Management are licensed separately, and Agentic Commerce Search depends on being a Shopper Agent customer. Confirm your contract before design. You also need clean product data and named owners for pricing and fulfilment.
Who it suits
Retail and consumer brands, manufacturers and distributors selling to business buyers, and teams adding reorder portals or order management to an existing storefront.
Common mistakes
- Choosing headless without the front-end team to run it.
- Underestimating product data clean-up.
- Treating order management as an afterthought.
- Launching close to a seasonal peak.
