Salesforce Consulting in New Zealand
We work with New Zealand organisations remotely from India. Our morning meets your afternoon, and IPP 3A changes how CRM data from third parties is handled.

GeekMidst works with New Zealand organisations remotely from India. We have no office, address, phone number or team in New Zealand, and every meeting is a video call. We work in English, and prices are agreed per proposal.
The shared window is short but predictable: our morning, your afternoon. The 2026 change that matters most is IPP 3A, which touches CRM enrichment, purchased lists and partner data feeds.
Working across time zones
New Zealand Daylight Time (UTC+13) runs from 27 September 2026 to 4 April 2027. India has no daylight saving, so the window widens by an hour when New Zealand returns to standard time (UTC+12). The Chatham Islands are 45 minutes ahead of the mainland.
Our morning, your afternoon
| India time (IST, UTC+5:30) | Auckland time | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 9:00 a.m. | 4:30 p.m. NZDT | Start of the shared window, until 4 Apr 2027 |
| 10:30 a.m. | 6:00 p.m. NZDT | End of the window, about 1.5 hours |
| 9:00 a.m. | 3:30 p.m. NZST | From 4 Apr 2027 |
| 11:30 a.m. | 6:00 p.m. NZST | End of the window, about 2.5 hours |
Data and privacy rules to plan for
The Privacy Act 2020 applies, amended by the Privacy Amendment Act 2025 (Royal Assent 23 September 2025). The regulator is the Privacy Commissioner.
IPP 3A: indirect collection, from 1 May 2026
For information collected on or after 1 May 2026, an agency that collects personal information indirectly must take reasonable steps to tell the person, as soon as reasonably practicable, about the collection and its purpose, who will receive the information, who holds it, and their access and correction rights. There are exceptions, for example where the information is publicly available or notice isn't practicable. In Salesforce, plan for:
- a source and collection date on every imported or enriched record;
- a notice step, such as an email or journey, for indirectly collected contacts;
- a written view, agreed with your legal adviser, of which exceptions you rely on.
Other points
- Breaches. If a breach has caused, or is likely to cause, serious harm, notify the Commissioner and the people affected as soon as you're practically able.
- Overseas disclosure (IPP 12). The recipient must be subject to the NZ Act, bound by comparable safeguards such as model clauses, or covered by a prescribed scheme or country; otherwise the person must authorise it after being told the risk. That includes us, in India.
- Marketing (Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007). Enforced by the DIA. Messages need express, inferred or deemed consent, must identify the sender with contact details valid for 30 days, and need a free, working unsubscribe in the same medium, honoured within 5 working days.
Our international data governance architecture shows how source, consent and jurisdiction can be tagged on records.
Salesforce data residency
New Zealand isn't listed as a hosting location for Salesforce Services in the Infrastructure and Sub-processors document of 19 December 2025. If local hosting matters to you, ask Salesforce which region your org would use and check the current list, which changes over time.
Services New Zealand teams ask us about
- Data migration services, with source and collection dates carried into every load
- Data 360 ingestion and modelling
- Marketing Cloud consulting, with consent and unsubscribe timing modelled
- Salesforce CRM consulting
Industries
Invest New Zealand highlights technology; food and beverage, exported to more than 120 countries; renewable energy (about 88% of electricity is renewable) and cleantech; AI and data-centre infrastructure; aquaculture and wood processing; and tourism. See our consumer goods, travel and hospitality and SaaS pages, or all locations.
Te reo Māori and NZ Sign Language are official languages; an English Language Bill reportedly passed its final reading around 30 July 2026, though we couldn't confirm Royal Assent. We work in English.
