Salesforce Consulting in the Netherlands

We work with Dutch organisations remotely from India. Since 1 July 2026, sales calls to consumers and small entrepreneurs need opt-in, even for existing customers.

Professional looking at a city skyline with a digital network overlay

GeekMidst works with organisations in the Netherlands remotely from India. We have no Dutch office, address, phone number or team, and every meeting is a video call. We work in English only, so check that suits your users; customer-facing material may need Dutch, which you'd plan for separately. Prices are agreed per proposal.

A 2026 change to plan for is telemarketing: since 1 July, being a customer is no longer enough to call a consumer or small entrepreneur.

Working across time zones

The Netherlands follows the EU clock rules, the same as Germany, and clocks go back on Sunday 25 October 2026.

Data and privacy rules to plan for

The GDPR applies, with the UAVG, the Dutch implementing act of 16 May 2018; its current version has been in force since 1 September 2026. Breaches with risk go to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens within 72 hours. India has no EU adequacy decision, so plan for a transfer safeguard if anyone in India, including us, can access personal data.

Telemarketing: opt-in from 1 July 2026

Under the Telecommunicatiewet, sales calls to consumers and to small entrepreneurs (zzp'ers and vof's) now need prior explicit opt-in consent, and being an existing or former customer no longer counts. Charities, lotteries and magazine publishers are exempt. The ACM enforces the rule. In Salesforce terms, plan for:

  • phone consent held separately from email consent, with a timestamp and source;
  • call lists and dialler integrations that filter on it;
  • a review of any "customer, so callable" logic left in flows, reports or list views.

Email and cookies

Article 11.7 of the Telecommunicatiewet covers email and 11.7a covers cookies. Email to natural persons needs prior consent, with an existing-customer exception, but we couldn't read the article text or ACM's email FAQ, and the B2B email rules are also unconfirmed. Treat these as points to check with your legal adviser, not settled rules.

See our international data governance architecture and the consent synchronisation solution.

Salesforce data residency: EU options, not a Dutch region

The Netherlands isn't listed as a Hyperforce hosting location for Salesforce Services in the Infrastructure and Sub-processors document of 19 December 2025. SFDC Netherlands B.V. appears only as a Salesforce entity and as a hosting sub-processor for Commerce Cloud. The Hyperforce Operating Zone (formerly the EU Operating Zone) applies and stores data in Germany or Switzerland, not the Netherlands. Germany and Ireland are listed EU hosting locations. A newer version of the document exists, so confirm current options with Salesforce.

Services Dutch teams ask us about

Industries

The NFIA (Invest in Holland) describes agrifood, life sciences and health, IT and tech, and high-tech systems as world-leading, alongside chemicals and supply chain and logistics. See our logistics, consumer goods and healthcare pages, or all locations.

How a remote engagement works

  1. 01

    Discovery call

Your morning. We ask how you capture phone and email consent, and where your org is hosted.

  2. 02

    Consent audit

We map every place Salesforce decides who can be called or emailed.

  3. 03

    Proposal

Deliverables, assumptions and the agreed price.

  4. 04

    Build

In a sandbox during our day, with demos in the shared window.

  5. 05

    Test and launch

Your users test call lists and journeys before go-live.

  6. 06

    Support

Ongoing help with releases and fixes, or a clean handover.

Questions we hear

Do you have an office in the Netherlands?
No. GeekMidst works remotely from India, with no Dutch office, address, phone number or local team.
Can we still call existing customers?
Since 1 July 2026, calls to consumers and small entrepreneurs need prior explicit opt-in, whether or not they are customers. Check the exemptions with your legal adviser.
Can Salesforce host our data in the Netherlands?
Not according to the December 2025 list. The Hyperforce Operating Zone stores data in Germany or Switzerland. Ask Salesforce about current options.
Do you work in Dutch?
No, English only. Plan for Dutch content separately if your users or customers need it.
