Salesforce Consulting in Ireland

We work with Irish organisations remotely from India. Your morning overlaps our afternoon, and the ePrivacy marketing rules are a point to plan for early.

World map at night with connection lines between regions

GeekMidst works with organisations in Ireland remotely from India. We have no Irish office, address, phone number or team, and every meeting is a video call. We work in English, and prices are agreed per proposal.

A naming note first. "IST" means Irish Standard Time in Ireland and India Standard Time in India. On this page we write Irish time and India time (UTC+5:30) in full.

Working across time zones

Irish winter time starts on Sunday 25 October 2026, the same day as the EU change, and Ireland returns to GMT. The shared window is about 3.5 hours until spring. The October bank holiday falls the next day, 26 October 2026.

Data and privacy rules to plan for

Three texts apply: the GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the ePrivacy Regulations 2011 (S.I. 336/2011). The regulator is the Data Protection Commission.

  • Breaches. Notify the DPC within 72 hours of becoming aware where there is risk, and tell individuals without undue delay where the risk is high.
  • Electronic marketing (Regulation 13). You need clear, affirmative consent. The existing-customer exception needs all of these: details collected in a sale, marketing only your own similar products, an opt-out at collection and in every message, and a first message within 12 months of the sale. People who enquired but didn't buy don't qualify.
  • Objections. Sending marketing to someone who has objected is a criminal offence, so suppression has to work across every send path.
  • B2B email. The DPC pages we read don't address B2B rules, so treat this as a question for your legal adviser.
  • Transfers. India has no EU adequacy decision. Plan for a transfer safeguard if anyone in India, including us, can access personal data.

The 12-month first-message window is easy to miss in automation. In Salesforce, store the sale date beside the consent basis so journeys and flows can check it. Our identity and consent and international data governance architectures show the reference patterns.

Salesforce data residency: Hyperforce Ireland

Ireland is an AWS hosting location in Salesforce's Infrastructure and Sub-processors document. The Hyperforce Operating Zone also applies to Irish customers, but it stores data in Germany or Switzerland, not Ireland. Not every service is available in every region, so confirm each cloud you license with Salesforce.

Services Irish teams ask us about

Industries

IDA Ireland highlights technology, digital transformation and AI, biopharma, medtech, financial services, semiconductors and engineering, and business services, and cites more than 1,800 global companies established in Ireland. See our financial services, medical technology and SaaS pages, or all locations.

Article 8 of the Constitution makes Irish the national and first official language and recognises English as a second official language. We work in English.

How a remote engagement works

  1. 01

    Discovery call

Your morning. We ask how you collect marketing consent and record the sale date for existing customers.

  2. 02

    Proposal

What we'll deliver, what we assume, and the agreed price.

  3. 03

    Workshops

Morning sessions in Dublin, with write-ups the same day.

  4. 04

    Build

Our afternoon and evening, in a sandbox.

  5. 05

    Test and launch

UAT with your users; releases planned around your bank holidays.

  6. 06

    Support

Ongoing help with releases and fixes, or a clean handover.

Questions we hear

Do you have an office in Ireland?
No. We work remotely from India and have no Irish office, address, phone number or local team.
When you say IST, which do you mean?
We avoid the abbreviation with Irish teams and write Irish time and India time (UTC+5:30) instead.
Can we email people who enquired but didn't buy?
Not under the existing-customer exception, according to the DPC; you'd need consent. Check with your legal adviser.
Can our data stay in Ireland?
Ireland is a listed Hyperforce hosting location, though the Operating Zone stores data in Germany or Switzerland. Ask Salesforce to confirm each service.
