Marketing Cloud in 2026: What Changed
How the Marketing Cloud family looks in 2026, how existing customers reach Marketing Cloud Next, and which marketing agents are GA or pilot.

Marketing Cloud has had a busy two years. It was renamed Agentforce Marketing in October 2025, and then the product page returned to plain Marketing Cloud in 2026. Marketing Cloud Next arrived with a new route to purchase, and Salesforce announced several marketing agents with different statuses. If you run Engagement or Account Engagement today, this article explains how the family fits together now, how existing customers reach Marketing Cloud Next, and what to plan for.

The Marketing Cloud family today
Marketing Cloud products (October 2026)
| Product | What it is | Former names |
|---|---|---|
| Marketing Cloud Next | Agentic marketing on the core Salesforce platform and Data 360 | New |
| Marketing Cloud Engagement | B2C cross-channel marketing: email, SMS, journeys | ExactTarget |
| Marketing Cloud Account Engagement | B2B marketing automation | Pardot |
| Salesforce Personalization | Real-time personalisation, native on Data 360 | New generation |
| Marketing Cloud Personalization | The earlier personalisation product | Interaction Studio; Evergage |
| Marketing Intelligence | Analytics and attribution | Marketing Cloud Intelligence; Datorama |
| Loyalty Management | Loyalty, referral and offer management | Page title: Customer Loyalty Platform |
Note the two personalisation products. Salesforce Personalization is the new generation, native on Data 360. Marketing Cloud Personalization is the older product, formerly Interaction Studio and Evergage. They are separate, so make sure proposals and contracts say which one is meant.
How Marketing Cloud Next is bought
According to Salesforce's Marketing Cloud Next details blog (first published September 2025 and updated 1 October 2026):
- New customers start with Marketing Cloud Growth Edition or Advanced Edition.
- Existing customers get Marketing Cloud Next capabilities by renewing into the "+" versions: Engagement+, Account Engagement+, Personalization+ and Intelligence+.
- Account Engagement+ unlocks Marketing Cloud Next AI for B2B teams.
- Intelligence+ adds Paid Media Optimization, Segment Intelligence and Flexible Attribution.
We don't quote prices. Salesforce states that pricing and packaging are subject to change, so ask your account team for a current quote. In practice, your renewal date often decides when a move to Marketing Cloud Next makes sense.

Completion actions will be familiar to Account Engagement users. Bringing them to Marketing Cloud Next through Flow helps B2B teams who are considering a move. Our completion actions and automation rules article explains how they work today.
The Engagement MCP server lets AI tools work with Engagement through a defined set of tools. As with any MCP access, decide who can connect and what they can do before you switch it on.
What to plan for
- Data first. Marketing Cloud Next and Salesforce Personalization run on Data 360. Your unified profiles, consent data and segments decide how well they work. See our consent and subscription design guide.
- Engagement is still current. Salesforce still lists Marketing Cloud Engagement as a current product and added an MCP server in Winter '27. A move to Next is a choice, not a deadline.
- Pilot agents stay pilots. Don't build campaign calendars around the Goals or Campaign Agent until they are GA.
- Deliverability still matters. Sender Rating Score is welcome, but SPF, DKIM and DMARC and list hygiene come first.
